Aaron and I had the joy of spending our spring break in Arizona. We have been wanting to spend some time in Arizona with our friend Steph and her husband Alan. This was the year that it finally worked for us to see them over Spring Break. Although our time was short, we had so much fun! Our college friends, Jon and Mary, also spent the week with us.
The first day we spent hiking Mount McDowell and enjoying the warm sunshine. Aaron got to do his favorite thing; watch some spring baseball! We never go on a vacation without vistiting a major league baseball park. We went to the Cubs/Dodgers game; Cubies won!
One unique thing about this trip was that all three of us women are pregnant and due around the same time! We definitely got some looks as we all hiked together up the trail. While Aaron and Jon hiked to the top of a second mountain and went to another baseball game, us preggos spent time shopping, getting a maternity message and lounging by the pool in the 90 degree weather. Oh the warmth of the Arizona sunshine!
Aaron and I also had the opportunity to meet up with one of Aaron's team mates from his Hawkeye baseball days. We met Jimmy and his wife, Jess, for dinner and had a wonderful time catching up.
For us, this trip was so relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of it. It was a breath of fresh air for us to see Alan and Steph and spend some quality time with them. It is always fun to see where friends live and experience thier daily life with them. If only they lived closer!! Thanks Alan and Steph for your hospitality.
