Easton turned ONE on Friday!! We celebrated by spending the night at the baseball field. Nothing new for him, but we made birthday treats to share with the fans and the players; green rice krispie balls!! The crowd even sang him happy birthday. He thought he was pretty special.
We celebrated with a little party on Sunday with family. The afternoon was full of lots of fun presents and good food. Easton celebrated with a blueberry muffin topped with yogurt frosting. He wasn't so sure what to do with it at first, but then decided he would stick his face in it! That made for a great laugh.
Easton's favorite present was a green baseball, go figure. Aunt Katie scored the big one with a water table! He was soaking wet by the end of the afternoon. Thanks everyone for all of the presents.
On Friday I reminisced about the day Easton was born and thought through every detail of that day that changed our life. What a blessing this past year has been. A year filled with sleepless nights, new schedules, sacrifices, smiles, giggles, first milestones, lots of snuggle time in the rocking chair, hugs and kisses, and the joy of becoming a family of three. Easton is truly an amazing gift.
