Seven years ago on a beautiful July evening, two high school sweet hearts were joined as one in marriage.

This is us NOW... seven years as husband and wife!
Two kids later; three moves; three job changes; a few grey hairs and a couple pounds heavier!!!
It has been a wonderful blessing to have each other on this journey.
My husband knows the things that bring me delight. He got up early this morning and drove to a secret place (I can't tell you because then you might turn him in!!) to pick me a bouquet of fresh flowers. Still speaking to my heart seven years later. I love this man. 
We are spending a couple of months on our old stomping grounds in Iowa. We were reminiscing tonight about how Lake MacBride holds a lot of special memories for us. We were engaged here and started our married life living in a little cabin on the Lake and Aaron had his first job here also. Seven years later, here we are, back at Lake MacBride!
We celebrated with dinner at Linn Street Cafe, the same restaurant we went to celebrate the night we were engaged. We pointed out where we sat that blissful night and tried to recount our conversation as a newly engaged couple. Oh the days of planning a wedding! Let's just say our conversations these days are a bit different!
