We had our first visitors here last week; my sister Katie, and my brother Dan.
1) Sitting on the steps of the Apostle Paul's Family well.
2) The Roman Road
3) The beautiful colors and architecture of the old city
4) In front of an old, beautiful wooden door
1) Passing time while we waited for the next train to our next destination. I love this picture of my brother and Easton playing soccer.
2) A beautiful alley next to the Apostle Paul's home and family well.
3) We ate lunch at what we have named "The Waterfall Restaurant." Beautiful views while you eat a delicious meal.
4) My sister and I along the Mediterranean Sea just before sunset.
You can't come visit without going to the weekly Bazaar. Every Wednesday through Thursday afternoon, rain or shine, our area of the city has a big bazaar. You can find a variety of anything from fruits and vegetables to spices and yarn. Think big Farmer's Market. We almost always go to get our weekly supply of fruits and vegetables. You can't forget your cart to transport all of your purchases, especially since we walk everywhere!
Easton got to go to a toy store and pick out one thing for his Christmas
present from Aunt Katie, Uncle Dan and Opa. He chose a scooter. The
next day we went to the park and he rode it nonstop. He actually hasn't stopped yet, but rides it up and down the hallways of our apartment everyday. Uncle Dan had to
give him a little lesson on steering!!
Of course we had to play baseball at the park.
All across Turkey you can find these "exercise" parks. Supposedly they put them in a few years ago to promote healthy habits of exercise. The one thing they are missing is resistance!!! It was fun making fools of ourselves anyway!

Easton loved all of the attention from his Aunt Katie and Uncle Dan, and I loved seeing them love on both the boys. It was so special to have them here to spend quality time with us and to give them a glimpse of our lives overseas.
After we dropped them off at the airport to fly back to the states, Easton looked at me and told me that I didn't need to be sad, because Aunt Katie and Uncle Dan would be back soon. I hope that is true!!
Thank you so much for spending the week with us. It was a week we will never forget!
