Sprinkle the Mama-to-Be

This past weekend my dear friend Stephanie, from high school, threw me a baby shower in my home town of Mount Vernon. She flew all the way from Arizona to Minneapolis for a work conference and then to Mount Vernon to her soon-to-be sister-in-law's bridal shower and then threw me a shower in the midst of a busy weekend. She is one of the most unselfish, giving and energetic women I know. You might also be wondering about the title of this blog. It came from the invitation that Stephanie made. She loves to do themes, so the theme was "Let's spinkle the mama-to-be with love (and gifts)! The invitations were super cute. You can check out her other invites at idesigninvites.blogspot.com. (just a little business plug for Steph!) Thank you so much Steph for throwing me such a meaningful shower. It was great to see you again.
It was fun to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby Reasland with so many friends from my home town. Many of them shared stories of my mom and what they remembered of her and her motherly attributes. What precious memories as I prepare to be a mother.
I remember when Aaron and I got married, how over-whelming it was to receive so many gifts. I feel the same now with having a baby. Everyone is so generous and it is very humbling to receive little things that will help us prepare for Baby R's arrival. Thank-you everyone for your generosity.
I have decided that Baby R is going to have some special bath and story times as we have received lots of fun children's books and bath supplies!!
