Last weekend was Pella's 74th Annual Tulip Time Festival. It is a pretty big deal here with thousands of people coming to town from Thursday to Saturday. There are 2 parades a day and lots of pretty tulips!!
When Aaron and I moved to Pella, we didn't realize what a big deal it was, but we learned fast. The town is crazy and you better get your groceries and other errands done at the beginning of the week, or you'll be sitting in traffic for hours potentially!!
The first year was fun, but this year it was just another Tulip Time. One thing that we decided we would do was to have a Grill Out on Saturday afternoon of Tulip Time every year. It seems like we have friends and family that like to come to town to see the Tulips and participate in the festivities, and what a better time to have lots of people over and have some fun. So, this year we had 35 people show up for a Backyard Grill Out. Thankfully the weather was beautiful!
