These long winter months have made our family a bit stir crazy. With a few nice days in the forecast AND a three day weekend, we packed up our bags for a much needed getaway as a family.
Des Moines is always an easy and inexpensive destination.
Our first stop was the Blank Park Zoo.
With birds swooping over head, and monkeys swinging from branch to branch, the wildlife had all of our attention. Easton found himself face to face with nemo, wandering through a sea of jellyfish, and mesmorized by simba. The sights and sounds of the zoo are always a great escape from reality.
The rest of our weekend was spent relaxing in the hotel, swimming, shopping, eating, and charishing our quality time together!
