What to say about our first week in Texas??
~ Well, almost every day has involved hours of unpacking. It seems to be a never-ending process. Thankfully I think we are almost done. There are still pictures to be hung on the walls, but that will happen at some point.
~It's HOT here!! Every day it has been above 100 degrees. Even at 9 o'clock at night, the thermostat reads 100. We have to laugh whenever we walk out the door because Easton likes to state the obvious, "Hot here."
~We've been swimming almost every day! Thankfully our complex has 2 pools, so we're taking advantage, to say the least.
We miss Iowa more than you know, but it helps that we have some familiar faces. There are 2 other families from Iowa here that we spend lots of time with. This is Easton's buddy Luke from Pella.
We are hoping it starts to feel more like home, but we know that nothing can replace Iowa!!
