29 Years and 28 Weeks

I confess, I just can't keep up with this blog like I want to. So, here's to another happening, just a week late!!
September 18th marked 29 years for my amazing husband. We had a wonderful time celebrating, just the two of us, with a night out at a restaurant called Fogo De Chao's. It is a Brazilian steak house downtown Austin. It includes an amazing salad bar with all kinds of olives, cheeses, vegies and much more. The majority of the meal includes any kind of meat you can imagine cooked any way you like it. They come out with the meat on huge skewers and cut a piece right onto your plate, but only if you have the green card showing. Each guest is given a card and when you are ready for more or a different kind of meat, you turn it to green. When you don't want anymore, you turn it to red. Kind of fun and different huh? Aaron managed to try 12 different cuts of meat.

One can't have a birthday without a little treat, right? I made about 50 Cakepops for our community group to devour! Flavors included Red Velvet, German Chocolate and Lemon.

I never want to see another Cakepop in my life! By the end of the day I had a headache from smelling them.
So I have a huge dislike for T-shirts. I hate to wear them and I can't stand when my husband's wardrobe consists of so many t-shirts that it breaks the dresser drawer! So I thought that making a quilt out of them would be a great alternative. I suggested this to Aaron a long time ago and he loved the idea. It was one of those projects that would get done "some day." I had planned to make an Iowa Quilt out of all of Aaron's baseball T-shirts from his college playing days for his birthday. With our crazy summer and too many other things to do, like move, I decided that I just didn't have time. I found a lady in Pella that makes them in 2 weeks! So before we moved, I secretly had it made for Aaron's birthday present. He was surprised and loved it!!
And of course, here's Baby Bump #2 at 28 weeks. I can't believe there are only +/- 12 weeks until we welcome Baby R #2 into our family! I'm feeling good; just pregnant and all that goes with it! We are still working on picking out names, which seems to be going nowhere. Any suggestions??
Bye for now.
