Our Summer: Visitors

I promise this "Our Summer" series will end soon!
I'm not good at leaving things out though, so here are some pictures from all the wonderful friends we got to see and hang out with before moving overseas.
This sweet boy on the left is a precious gift. My dearest friend, and her husband, adopted him this last February. This family goes back to our college days at the University of Iowa, and has influenced our lives more than they will ever know. This last year we were blessed to live in community with them and witness God answer their prayer to bring this little guy into their family. A true testimony to God's faithfulness.
We got to spend an afternoon together while they were back in Iowa. It was way too short, but we are thankful for the time we had. We miss you like crazy and there isn't a day that goes by that Easton doesn't mention your names!!
My oldest brother, Matt, came to hang out with us for a few days too. Our days were filled with soaking up the sun, swimming in the lake and lots of baseball. I think we played baseball every morning he was here! From the pictures, it doesn't look like he minded one bit!! Thanks for hanging out with us.
The Landon's came all the way from Washington DC !! Though our time was short, it was wonderful catching up with these dear college friends. It's always fun to see our kids interact too.
These ladies road tripped it all the way from Texas!! Katie and Beth started out as Easton's babysitters during our time in Texas, but have become some our dearest friends. This was their first time in Iowa, so you better believe we had them try some IOWA Sweet Corn. We had a blast enjoying the lake, late night talks, lots of good food, Farmer's Market, Oreos, and even a morning run. We love you Miss Katie and Miss Beth.
My dear friend, Stephanie, and her two sweet girls, were in town visiting from Arizona. We spent the morning playing at the park with our little ones and catching up on our life journeys. We've been blessed to have seen each three times this last year; considering how many miles have separated us.
These two had fun playing hide-and-seek with the puppy. Too cute!!
Thanks Steph, for taking time out of your crazy busy schedule to spend a morning with us!!
It truly was a blessing to spend time in Iowa near family, and to have so many dear friends spend time with us, though short. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to see everyone again soon.
