This past weekend was the first weekend that we had to ourselves with no family or friends staying and no plans that were set in stone. We took advantage of the free time and had a date night Friday with dinner at the Mexican Restaurant and a long movie; Australia. Saturday we went to Des Moines and shopped for a Rocking Chair; although we didn't find one that I liked or that was in our price range. Saturday evening we spent with some friends, Kevin and Tori, out at their peaceful farm. We grilled dinner, fished in the farm pond and sat by the light of the fire until the wee hours of the night. Sunday we went out to eat with some friends and then relaxed at home. It was a much needed time together. When we don't get to spend QUALITY time with one another, things look ugly!
My prayer is that more people take time out of the their busy schedules to do the things that matter. The world is all about being prosperous and how much one can accomplish in a day. So, spend some time doing something you love!
