In this season of Thanksgiving, I have been reflecting on all that I have to be thankful for.
After hearing of yet another divorce, I have been reminded of how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband. Someone who doesn't just tell me daily that he loves me, but someone who demonstrates true love through his actions. Through communication, acts of service, affection and encouragement, my husband shows his deep love for me. He is more than I could ever ask for in a husband.
I am so thankful to have such a precious family. Both my husband and Easton bring me so much joy. Just about every day they bring me to tears of laughter, something that not everyone can do! Each day with these two are a treasure.
There are so many times that I look at the state of the world and am saddened by the hurt, destruction and filth that fills the life of so many, mine included. I'm thankful for the foundation that I have in Christ. His Word gives us a truth to live by and hope in times such as this. It provides a satisfaction that reaches the deepest needs of your heart. Who wouldn't want a taste of the words of the greatest man that ever walked this earth?
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in ALL circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
As I reflect on the events of my life, I ask myself, "Can I give thanks to God in ALL circumstances; can I truly say thank-you for EVERY trial and joy that I have walked through? It seems easy and right to give thanks for everything good, but what about the hard things in life? My prayer is that I can thank God in the midst of every storm.
