Random Favorites

I have decided to start a new blogging series called "Random Favorites," for those days that there's just not much to blog about!
When I find myself brainstorming about the next blog post, some pretty random things come to my mind that I'm not so sure anybody would care to hear about. BUT, here is a shot at the randomness of my daily life...
Let me warn you that the first one might take you by surprise!!

Fall is by far my favorite season in the Midwest. Pictures can't capture the beauty of the vibrant colors; the crunch of the leaves under your feet or the crisp air on your face as the summer fades away. In the midst of all the joys of fall, there is one thing that I dread; raking leaves. As I stand in my backyard and see the plants turning crisp and the grass poking through the scattered leaves, the task overwhelms me. I start to wonder how many hours will it take me to make every leaf disappear, and how many blisters will cover my hands when I'm finished?

NO FEAR. The Toro is here!!

This thing is AMAZING. It not only cuts the grass, collects the grass if you so choose, but it mulches too. Let me tell you that the mulcher is a lifesaver. All I have to do is rake the leaves from the flower gardens into the lawn and start the engine, and just like that, the leaves get chopped into little pieces. It is like they just disappear. No more blisters on the hands and no more countless hours raking and putting leaves in garbage bags!!  Today I mowed the lawn twice with the mulcher, and after about 3 hours, it looks amazing.
So, just in case you are looking for a new mower, make sure you buy one with a mulcher on it, especially if you live in the midwest!

How was that for random??
